Stephen Bennett

Stephen's debut work 'In Her Best Interests' details his personal experiences during the most challenging period of his life after his then six year old daughter was given a devastating cancer diagnosis.

The story is told uniquely told through the eyes of a father.  A father desperately trying to support his young daughter through the trauma that unfolded, whilst simultaneously trying to support his wife, whose own mother is also under going cancer treatment.  A father searching for hope in the darkest of places and trying to come to terms with a life-changing set of circumstances himself.

It is a deeply personal, emotional and inspirational story which Stephen describes as "the book he needed to read himself at the time he was living through the experience".

Stephen now lives in Merseyside in the North West of England with his family and campaigns regularly to raise awareness of childhood cancer and raise much needed funds for Alder Hey Children's Charity and Cancer Research UK.
