Present-day and a young orphan is celebrating her fifteenth birthday, all seems well until the Manors resident caretaker hands her a gift. A gift that comes with more questions than answers.

Has fate linked these two events together? Or were they destined to always happen? One girl is about to find out for the safety of all once again hangs in the balance.

Once I started reading this, I simply could not put it down! I got so involved in it! I felt so relaxed and switched off reading this, I’m not a great reader anymore but this really transported me into another world! I loved the ending!! Overall 5 stars from me!

I ordered this on a whim and read it within a few days. It really hits its mark for A young adult fantasy lovers. It’s well written with a tantalising mix of magic, adventure and a touch of romance. I could easily picture myself in the story and fell In love with the characters. The ending is clearly set up for a squeal, and I cannot wait to see what comes from this author next. 5 big stars from me!

I devoured this story and was completely sucked into the adventure. This is the sort of book that as a child/ young adult would have been one of my favourites, it has magic, mystery, action and just enough romantic teenage angst running in the background of the story of a strong female lead!
Can’t wait for the next instalment!

This book was recommended to me ,I wasn't sure st first as I have never read a fantasy book but I am so glad I did! It was brilliant, a fantastic read,I couldn't put it down and read it within days which is unheard off for me as I don't get the chance but I found myself reading it at every chance I had, even if it was 5 mins here and there,I can not wait to read the next one,it has changed my opinion about the style of books I read .

I was directed to this book from a search as I read similar items. It was from an author I had not heard of before and thought I would give it a try. I am so glad I did, I really enjoyed this book i read it in a few days and couldn’t put it down. I could feel a real connection to the characters and the journey they are just beginning, can’t wait for the next instalment, hope it’s not too far away.
