A very enjoyable novel which was recommended to me, from an author I wasn't familiar with, however on the strength of this I will be looking out for future work. There is a strong sense of period and the lingering impact of WWI adds resonance. I submit this as a positive review as I believe it will be a welcome summer holiday read.

A subtly crafted novel!

Exotic, cultured and subtly crafted. This is a real winner! This novel deserves any attention that it receives. Thoroughly enjoyed it!

Outstanding!!

I loved this. Once started I was hooked!!. The relationship between the characters just worked and that's down to a deftness of touch, on the author's part. This was recommended to me and I think I will be checking the rest of this author's work on the strength of it. For me there was a sumptuous quality to this novel, that left me with a warm satisfied feeling after reading!

An accomplished novel

Very accomplished!!

The author has produced an entertaining intelligent novel, which is likely to win them a wider readership. There are numerous characters in this novel, which can present the reader with something of a challenge, yet the author has pulled it off, with a central group, from which other characters fan out. A few more historical facts would have anchored the period more firmly for me, however this is of minor, importance as the sense they were a gilded generation who were lucky to have escaped the horrors of WWI is one of this novel's finer attributes.

Superb!!

I have read most of this author's work now and until this one, I had thought that the first about the pilot Amy Johnson was
by far the best. However with this I think the author has come along in leaps and bounds. Especially with the interlocking
relationships between the characters which has been deftly achieved. I would say he had matured as an author with "A Season
in Fitzrovia," so I look forward to what the author gives us next while and this is well worth a read!

Another great read from K A Lalani. A group of artists trying to establish themselves, bring the Roaring Twenties to life in this post-war novel set in 1922. The author immersed me in the period and kept me turning the pages from the start to the end. A thoroughly recommended read.

A pleasing read!

This is the first of this author's work I have been recommended to read and it was a very satisfying read. I loved the climax and
the lustrous Riviera setting was vividly evoked. I think other readers will be similarly impressed

Stunning!

Eminently readable and hugely enjoyable. This has to be the author's best work yet. Can't help thinking that it's ripe material for Television adaptation and would sit happily in the tradition of Sunday night drama. The author is evidently comfortable with the period and I defy other readers of this not to read it in a couple of sittings.
