ISBN: 9781915352149Randal Forbes calls his dark powers ‘the gift’ and his radiating eyes are the windows of his phenomenal psychic domination.
Randal’s daughter, Roxanne, has proved she is also worthy of her inheritance and has severely injured their main rival, Carlton Flint.
In this fifth book of the series, there is relentless intrusion. Telepathic crime with a malevolent, paranormal edge is Randal’s defence. He has a twisted sense of poetic justice, so he will remove anyone in his fiendish path.
Randal Forbes has a dark side so powerful, that only somebody with the same ‘gift’ would be able to challenge him.
Will Carlton Flint recover and do just that?

One of the best books I've read in ages. I didn't know it was a series but as soon as I realised I googled the others and have acquired them to play catch up! I love the author's style of writing. It's very descriptive and I get goosebumps every time I know that Randal is on the verge of another removal. Excellent plots and believable characters regardless of the supernatural element. Amazing!

This is the first time I've read a book with a paranormal theme. The cover drew my attention so I thought I'd give it a go. What! I mean WOW! I know readers often comment that they can't put it down. Guess what? I can' t put it down! I was up until 2am reading it last night because I just had to know what happens in the end and. I wasn't disappointed but I was freaked out. This author paints pictures with her words. Randal and his cast of characters are compelling and it all adds up to addictive reading. I'll have to read the whole series so it all sinks in. Original and oh so thrilling.

I'm doing this off the top of my head because there's so much going on in this book and series that it's hard to know where to begin. Randal is a seriously gifted but flawed character with a twisted mind but it's genius. The author's style of writing is unique. My favorite genre is anything with a paranormal theme. I've read many books in this style and I can say with confidence that this book and series is up there with the best. The crime scenes are brilliant and Randal's telepathic commands are spine tingling. His cruelty knows no bounds but that's the whole point. Will he ever get caught? Only Fran Raya knows the answer to that. I for one hope he does or do I? He's such a stunning character regardless of his dark powers. Actually his gift isn't really evil but the way he abuses it truly is and nothing is off limits here. Fascinating. I've had to read it again to take it all in.

Only just discovered this book and series. I'm thoroughly hooked. Although there's lots of reference to Randal's past crimes I still need to check it all out and am going to buy the whole series. A most compelling insight into a complex and terrifying mindset together with telepathy which adds a spooky element. An unusual slant on a dark theme that thrills and chills. Randal Forbes draws the reader in and I simply need to know what happens next even though his cruelty is constant and yet his wit somehow makes me almost forgive his terrifying crimes. How crazy is that? A well written story and a great read. Strongly recommended.
