Staying with artist Theo, and his wife, before art college, Beth is drawn into a world of creativity, love and deception. As long-buried secrets emerge, she must decide who to trust before everything unravels.
Before starting art college, twenty-four-year-old Beth accepts an invitation to stay with acclaimed artist Theo and his wife, Isabel, on the east coast of England. She soon meets Colin, a perceptive young man on the autistic spectrum, and Gabriel, a charismatic French artist, musician and wheelchair user.
As Beth’s feelings for Gabriel deepen, she becomes increasingly unsettled by Theo’s behaviour. When he asks her to become both his muse and the subject of an intimate artistic portrait, Beth finds herself torn between curiosity and instinct.
Her decision sets in motion a chain of events that expose long-buried secrets and threatens to shatter the lives of those around her…
