Historical
November 1939. Hitler is about to launch the world’s most devastating war. In despair, Georg Elser plots to assassinate him. A skilled Bavarian watchmaker, he plans to build a timebomb, detonating it during Hitler’s annual speech in a Munich beer hall.
Night after night, Elser painstakingly hollows out a pillar beneath the podium, working in total secrecy as the Gestapo watches and the Nazi regime tightens its grip on Germany.
But, after a fateful chance meeting, an ambitious young SS Lieutenant, Wolfgang Brasch, uses his connections to an occult Nazi world to pursue him and becomes obsessed with finding the mysterious bomb-maker. As Elser’s clock ticks towards its deadline, Brasch closes in.
Tick, tick. Elser sets the bomb and flees.
Tick, tick, tick. Hitler takes the podium.
Based on the true story of Georg Elser, an ordinary man determined to save his country from another war, and the brilliant SS officer, Lieutenant Brasch, determined to stop him.
