This is a compelling read and well written, intriguing story set in a large, gloomy house full of mystery. It begins with two sisters and their hapless professor father arriving at Timerton Rectory for the reading of a will. I liked the way the story is led by the sisters and then weaves into a situation where the reader meets the adult characters. Tracey's style is very descriptive and it was easy to imagine the lonely setting. This is a very inclusive book for YA and adult fiction. Preconceptions are gradually shifted to a satisfying ending with a twist.
