R.J. Waller

Rob Waller was born in Salisbury, England, and grew up in a village on the outskirts of the New Forest. After flirting with journalism, copywriting, advertising and marketing, Rob found a passion for telling stories with data, and had a successful career working with new technologies and helping businesses grow using the power of analytics to tell stories.

 

Rob lives with his wife, two children, Dalmatian and two cats. When not looking after them, working, cooking, or heaven forbid, writing, he enjoys football, golf, and playing the bass guitar.

 

He always enjoyed creative writing, fascinated by stories of other worlds and strange dimensions that included a sense of wonder at the unknown. Growing up surrounded by the open woods, Rob always pondered what would happen if he found a portal to another world, and brought back an evil mage. His first novel delves into that idea.

 

It’s taken a while from seed of germination through to publishing, a period of time encompassing getting married, children being born, to his daughter growing old enough to read it and offer back her advice and encouragement. Rob hopes his second novel doesn’t take as long to write.
