Rob Hadgraft spent 26 years as a newspaper and periodical journalist before turning freelance to research and write about sporting history. He specialises in athletics and football, and has authored more than 20 books, three of which made the final stages of the annual William Hill Sports Book of the Year awards.
Rob was born in Luton in 1955 and after spells living and working in East Anglia, Portugal and London, is nowadays based in Suffolk. Work and leisure has often overlapped, Rob having a been a club runner since the 1980s and a season-ticket holder at Luton Town FC.
