Ceredig, the first king of the Gewisse, is dead.
The powerful kingdom he has built, which stretches from the Upper Thames Valley down to the southern coast and acts as a buffer between the Saxon kingdoms in the east and the Britons in the west, is suddenly at risk. Only Cunorix, succeeding his father as the next king of the Gewisse, can maintain the fragile peace and prevent the Saxons from completing their conquest of Britannia.
Commanding an elite force of Gewisse warriors, from whom the kingdom took its name, Cunorix must protect his father’s legacy and create one of his own engaging in political subterfuge, peaceful diplomacy, covert retribution and strategic alliances.
