Lucille Turner’s debut novel, Gioconda, was described by the Financial Times as "a lush, evocative, and remarkably accomplished debut novel". It was translated into several languages and won Spain's Hislibris Prize for Historical Fiction in 2012.
Her second novel, The Sultan, the Vampyr and the Soothsayer, won the Bronze Medal for Europe – Best Regional Fiction at the 2017 Independent Publisher Book Awards. Lucille holds a Master's degree in Comparative Literature and has worked as a translator, journalist and teacher. When she isn’t writing, Lucille enjoys exploring historic places, reading widely and researching the remarkable people whose stories continue to shape the modern world. She lives in the New Forest in southern England.
My latest novel, Master of Gravity, tells the story of Isaac Newton and will be published in 2027 to coincide with the 300th anniversary of his death.
